Extensive Phlebotomy Training Certification
At VTTC, we see Phlebotomy as far more than just an “entry point” into the medical field—it is the medical field, right down to the molecular level. One of the very first steps in diagnosing a patient is ordering blood or urine tests, so why shouldn’t the training reflect the importance of that role?
Our Extensive Phlebotomy Program goes beyond the basics, preparing students for real-world “lab life” whether they choose to work in a hospital, a doctor’s office, launch their own mobile phlebotomy service, or handle collections for the Department of Transportation.
Over the course of 9 weeks, students receive intensive hands-on training—including centrifugation and specimen aliquoting—so that when they graduate, they’re not just certified, but confident. At VTTC, we know that confidence is what sticks, and our graduates enter the field ready to thrive and love life as professional Phlebotomists.
Vein & Capillary Punctures
DOT Urine Specimen Collection
Measurement & Interpretation of Vital Signs
DNA/Oral Fluid Specimen Collection
Our Extensive Phlebotomy Training stands out from most and is referred to as extensive due to our added certifications all wrapped in one, that will give students the opportunity to apply to unique job positions upon completion. Phlebotomy isn’t just drawing blood. It’s all things specimen collection! Clinics such as Occupational Health Clinics could use a well rounded Phlebotomy Technician certified in non-blood collections as well as Biometric data collection.
